15 Gym Behaviors That Make You Want To Quit Going

Gyms can be funny places – they can be wonderful environments for encouraging members to try harder, and supportive spots for everyone from the budding bodybuilder with pro dreams to the newcomer with great intentions. But a lot of the acceptable behaviors are learned by trial and error – the official orientation sometimes includes more things like billing options vs. useful knowledge like what behaviors will get you scowled at or worse. Here are our favorites in the ‘do not do’ categories.

1. Smoke

Everyone is struggling with something, and nicotine is a cruel mistress. But if you do have to have a nicotine craving, save it for after your work-out, away from the eyes of everyone who was exercising beside you.
