When the weekend arrives and you show up at the hottest party in town, you desire, more than anything else, to kick back with a tasty treat and an even tastier alcoholic beverage. Unfortunately, your average drink packs in, at minimum, several hundred calories. If you indulge in a delicious mud slide or mai tai, you could easily be closing in on nearly a thousand calories. Fortunately, healthier options do exist. Next time you find yourself at a party, substitute your usual diet disaster drinks with one of the following options:

1. Wine

Wine of any type should always be your first choice for diet-friendly drinking. With just 120 calories in your typical five ounce serving, this perennial favorite happens to also be chock full of antioxidants. And with choices ranging from pinot grigio to moscato, it’ll take you a while to tire from indulging in wine.
