When it comes to weight loss it appears that everybody and their mother has an idea as to what you should do. ‘Bro, just follow my workout routine and you’ll get there in no time.’ or ‘Only eat celery past 9PM.’ As anyone can see, there is a lot of pseudo science involved in this touchy area and, because of that, many falsehoods get passed around so many times that they become ‘true’ to the public. Let’s take a look at 15 weight loss myths that, unbelievably, are COMPLETELY false.

1. Carbs will make you fat

When people say to skip carbohydrates during their diet, it’s hard not to roll your eyes. Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for your body. Without carbs you would crash, and burn, before your diet every really took off. The better way to look at carbs is to decide what form you are receiving them. Simple carbs, from candy and sugar, can be avoided without any major loss. Complex carbs, from veggies, fruits, and grains, are a great addition to any diet plan. Eat em!
